More about our chickens...
Our chickens are raised on pasture at Calliope Farm, a certified-organic vegetable farm, in Olympia, WA. We only feed certified-organic grain and never use hormones or antibiotics. Processing is done by hand, on the farm according to WSDA regulations ensuring a safe and fresh product.
Our chosen breed, the Freedom Ranger chicken, is a great forager, and with access to a diverse diet of vegetation, insects, and organic grain produces tender, succulent meat with rich flavor.
Our management practices prioritize the health and humane treatment of the chickens - abundant space and pasture, quality organically-grown feed, no antibiotics or hormones, and compassionate and respectful treatment - producing delicious meat that you will feel good about.
